As summer temperatures soar, beverages firms, thirsty consumers and events caterers alike will be cheered by news of a debut pilot project involving Brains Brewery and the world’s first self-cooling can, which premiered at London Packaging Week.

Developed by DeltaH Innovations, Cool>Can is a sustainable solution that reduces the temperature of drinks by at least 10 degrees in just 60 seconds.

The technology relies on DeltaH’s Cool Connector, a reusable activation module that can be refilled with tap water, and which connects to a specially-developed, recyclable can-in-can.
